movemanSKG has supplied a Prestige wheelchair lift to a major fashion retailer for a brand new £1m clothes store on Gracechurch Street, London. The Millbridge Group, a professional consultancy established 15 years ago to provide property, development and construction services to occupiers, investors and developers, managed the project.

Visitors enter the new store at ground level but there is also a lower ground floor, where there is further shopping space and staff facilities. To comply with the Equality Act, the retailer needed to install an access route for wheelchair users. A platform lift was the perfect solution.

movemanSKG is part of Otis, which is world renowned for its passenger lifts. After a consultation, movemanSKG recommended Prestige, its flagship platform lift popular with customers for a wide range of applications.

As a result everything has to blend appropriately and look superb. Prestige is an upmarket product and our unit has a stainless steel door with a customised red powder frame, which matches our client’s branding.

“Prestige looks excellent in the new building and the installation went very smoothly. movemanSKG also serviced an old existing scissor lift for us in the basement of the building. Gary Bound, movemanSKG’s Sales Engineer, was knowledgeable, helpful and tuned in to our needs. Our client’s new Prestige lifts 400kg approximately 4000mm between the two floors.”

movemanSKG’s Prestige is available in many colours and finishes, making it ideal for use in public venues where appearances count. It has a wide range of safety features, such as doors that lock automatically to prevent people entering the shaft when the platform is in motion. Its maximum lifting height is 13m.
